Purchase gifts such as toys, clothing, and gift cards tailored to their needs. Drop off your unwrapped gifts between November 15th to December 9th to allow for wrapping and distribution before our holiday parties on December 14th & 15th. ?? This also includes National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 15-22), a chance to spotlight these critical issues impacting our communities. At BEDS Plus, we’ve seen firsthand how the housing crisis continues to grow, affecting more people in the places where we live and work. Over the past year, BEDS Plus has helped change the lives of more than 5,000 people, offering essential services, support, and paths to stability. At @BEDSPlusCare, outreach is a lifeline, connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with critical resources and services. Zac Catrambone, our Outreach Manager, plays a crucial role in this effort, guiding people toward stability and support. Leading #BEDSPlus' Outreach Team and managing the #WalkInProgram at the Summit Service Center, Zac and his team meet clients wherever they are—on the streets, in their cars, or at the Summit Service Center. "Outreach is about meeting people where they are, helping them figure out their next step, and connecting them to services," Zac explains. "One day, that might mean securing emergency shelter, the next, navigating rental assistance programs." For Zac, the relationships he builds with clients are key to his work. As a member of Emmanuel Episcopal in La Grange, she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of BEDS' work when her church became a site for our day center and emergency overnight shelter.
