While not diagnostic, understanding APOE ε4 status can provide insights into an individual’s risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease and may be a helpful test for scientists studying the risks of developing the disease. In this study from #CTAD2024, scientists evaluated the new Beckman Coulter APOE ε4 RUO immunoassay on the DxI 9000 and Access 2 analyzers and found 99% concordance with PCR.
