This incredible space will provide hands-on learning experiences, STEM education, and career exploration opportunities for students. Behind the Scenes at The Franklin Institute: A Look Inside the Hamilton Collections Gallery Last November, Hamilton Collections Gallery opened its doors, offering visitors unprecedented access to hundreds of artifacts from The Franklin Institute’s storied collections. At Becker & Frondorf, we were honored to serve as project managers and play a small role in bringing this remarkable project to life. From preserving the 350-ton Baldwin 60000 Locomotive to creating dynamic storage and display systems, we worked closely with The Franklin Institute, architects SmithGroup, and Daniel J. Keating Company to bring this vision to life. The result? A two-story gallery that showcases centuries of groundbreaking discoveries and highlights the engineering marvels that shaped our world. Hamilton Collections Gallery is more than a space—it’s a testament to The Franklin Institute’s commitment to inspiring innovation and curiosity for generations to come.
