During each Windy City Bulls 2024-25 season home game, we have pledged to donate $10 per Windy City player assist to benefit Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). After their home opening weekend, $450 has already been raised! ?? NWSRA provides recreational opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. Celebrating 50 years, NWSRA offers over 2,000 programs that generate more than 14,000 registrations per year. The Community Assists Program will continue to run throughout the 2024-25 season. At the end of the season, Windy City will host an on-court check presentation presented by Bear Family Restaurants to highlight the total amount raised for NWSRA. ?? Monday night we celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of our rebuilt location in La Grange! ?? Ronald McDonald joined us to lead the fun-packed night! The Boy Scouts of Troop 14 kicked off the event with a flag ceremony, which was followed by speeches from David Bear, McDonald's, Saint Francis Xavier Parish, La Grange Business Association, and the President of the Village of La Grange. Attendees were given tours of the brand new facility, which includes the latest technology to help our team members serve our guests gold-standard food with outstanding service. Everybody enjoyed the fun cake from Mad Batter Bakery & Confections and delicious cookies and the cutest burger macarons from Sweetness Cookie Company! At the end of the night, everyone went home with our new custom mugs from Grey Fox Pottery. It was a wonderful night with our team members, family, friends, and community members to celebrate the completion of this big project that turned out beautifully. This is a day of Tradition for the Dons where they compete, connect as a school, and hold the pep rally before homecoming weekend! BFR is happy to have been the food choice in this tradition for the past several years. Also, a HUGE shout out to Empire Cooler Services for donating 20 bags of ice and delivering it to the field the morning of the event. LET'S GO DONS.... Monday night at our Larkin Avenue Elgin location, BFR was honored to help giveaway 300 Thanksgiving Turkeys, alongside our incredible partners at the McDonald's Hispanic Operators Association, Martin Brower, and Bimbo Bakeries USA. We are so thankful to all of the volunteers who helped unload and set up this event from BFR, Elgin Community College, Elgin IL Police Department, Centro de Información, Senator Cristina Castro, MBA, and State Representative Anna Moeller, so that those in need had the opportunity to have a warm meal for their families for Thanksgiving. McFUNdraisers are a great way to raise money for your school!! In October, we donated $10,858 to our local schools through McTeacher's Night FUNdraisers in our restaurants! Memories were made, smiles were big, and yummy food was enjoyed...all while raising money for the schools! We would like to give a HUGE shout-out to McArthur, Washington, Riverwood, Constance, Howard B Thomas, St. Juliana, Enders-Salk, Wild Rose, and John Muir.
