Say hello to Michael Brenner, Beam Living's Senior Vice President of Design & Construction (D&C). For those who may not know, D&C plays an intricate role in the completion of Beam Living's goals. "My role is to support all of the different groups that fall under D&C. This includes the Design, Construction, Apartment Readiness, Procurement, and Inventory Control Groups," explained Michael. When diving into Michael's experience and the biggest lessons he's learned in his career, he told us "Throughout my career I've had the opportunity to learn a lot of different things. An important lesson has been that people and the overall teams are the key to the success of a project. From ownership, to the design team, the construction team, and the operator, the process of connecting all these incredible human beings allows us to take a vision or dream and create something amazing." At Beam we believe structure, collaboration, and connection foster success in teams, big or small.

As we observe Native American Heritage Month, we honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Native American communities throughout history. This month serves as a reminder of the resilience and strength of Indigenous peoples and the ongoing journey towards inclusion and recognition. At Beam Living , we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity. We encourage our team to engage with Indigenous voices and learn about their histories. Let’s take this opportunity to reflect on our collective responsibility to support Indigenous communities and promote cultural awareness both within and beyond our organization.

Yesterday, across New York City, we came together with our fellow Blackstone Portfolio Companies to fight against childhood hunger in a day of giving back. During our annual #CoreGivingDay, our teams headed to food banks, parks, and kitchens throughout the city (and across the country) to lend a helping hand and make a big impact on our local communities.

On World Mental Health Day, we are reminded of the importance of prioritizing mental well-being in our daily lives and workplaces. At Beam Living, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment where every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered to take care of their mental health. Whether through open conversations, access to resources, or promoting work-life balance, we believe that mental health matters every day—not just today. Let’s continue to break the stigma, encourage self-care, and create spaces where mental well-being is a top priority for all. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma
