?? CELEBRATING NP WEEK ?? This week is National Nurse Practitioner Week, and we're honored to recognize Beacon's Meredith Brueggemann! Here's what our own Brooke Ziska had to say about her: ?I've had the pleasure of working with Meredith for three years. She is an incredible coworker and an even better provider. Recently, a patient came to our clinic with a serious, non-orthopedic issue that other practices had overlooked. Meredith arranged for them to see a specialist that day, ultimately, and literally saved their life! Despite her busy schedule, she goes above and beyond daily—we’re so lucky to have her!? Thanks to Meredith and our amazing crew of NPs for providing exceptional care and making a positive difference!

All three of Beacon’s Ambulatory Surgical Centers have received approval for AAAHCs Advanced Orthopaedic Certification for Total Joint Arthroplasty! The process of obtaining this certification began in February of this year, with an extremely tight deadline. Still, the teams at the ASCs rose to the challenge and performed exceptionally. The Advanced Orthopaedic Certification confirms that our evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and ongoing performance improvement strategies promote clinical excellence, allowing us to deliver the highest level of patient care, quality, and safety.

Beacon's partner high schools just keep winning! This time, it's a shout out to the Summit Country Day boys soccer team, which won its 8th state championship in school history and first since 2018. That makes boys and girls soccer state titles for the Silver Knights this season! Kudos to the team doctors – Beacon's Dr. Drew Burleson and Dr. Amanda Goodale from TriHealth – and head athletic trainer, Amber Gerken from TriHealth!

Boom! The Madeira High School girls soccer team is state champion for the second time in school history! Madeira defeated Doylestown Chippewa 3-0 in the Division V girls soccer state final last week in Columbus. Congrats to team physician Dr. Tim Kremchek and athletic trainer Glenna Knapp for taking care of the champs all season long!

Go Lady Spartans! The Roger Bacon High School girls volleyball team won the Division IV state championship on Saturday afternoon, defeating Alliance Marlington to capture the program’s fourth state title. Together with TriHealth, we care for the student athletes at Roger Bacon as one of our partner high schools, and we salute team physician Dr. Ian Rice and athletic trainer Haylee Woebkenberg on a job well done!
