This past Saturday at NC ESPORT Academy, The Wakaboomee Program and TMT Youth Community Foundation kicked off a game-changing collaboration with the launch of our NEW Cyber Bears Robotics Curriculum! Cyber Bears Robotics is state-of-the-art Robotics curriculum that empowers K-12 students with the skills they need to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world while preparing them for participation in the FIRST NC Robotics Competition. This comprehensive program will provide students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to design, build, and program a competitive robot. The Wakaboomee Program is driven by young people with a deep desire to make the world better. Can you hear it in their voices in the brief interviews we recently captured in this video clip? These passionate young ones constantly seek ways to end hunger, support mental health, create an inclusive world for individuals with autism - proving that even children as young as 5 years old have an innate desire to help others. Wakaboomee Mindfulness helps K-12 students learn how to help others collectively and impactfully. Thanks to dedicated therapists like Dr. Janelle Ellis-Holloway, Gabrielle Rivero of Express & Release Therapeutic Dance, Nicole Wallace, LCMHC, NCC, PMH-C, Jessica Steiner and Jhazmere Preston, MS, LCMHC, LCAS-A, The Wakaboomee Program continues to provide FREE, age-specific Mindfulness curriculum for K-12 students across North Carolina. Why is Mindfulness needed? Mindfulness develops emotional regulation skills. Mindfulness builds resilience to life’s challenges. Mindfulness provides tools for reducing anxiety and improving focus while fostering stronger connections with peers through open group discussions. Our Wakaboomee Mindfulness sessions are a safe, supportive space for students to learn how to articulate their emotions, discover coping strategies, and create habits that will empower them throughout their entire lives.
