I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the nomination! ?? Starting my firm full-time just over a year ago, this nomination marks a significant milestone. My journey in the accounting industry has always been driven by a passion for inspiring change. Whether it's working closely with smaller companies or advocating for more diversity and inclusivity in the field, my goal has always been clear. I have always led with a teacher's heart, never considering I would receive anything other than the pure joy and satisfaction of seeing others grow and succeed with just a little help or support. This recognition is a testament to the incredible community that supports and uplifts each other, and I am so grateful for it! From the onset of taking my firm full-time, my plan has always been to grow it into a CPA firm that brings more diversity into the field, leveraging the tools I've learned through my neurodivergent journey and my experiences in the industry. Mental health when you are a entrepreneur is so important ?? When you’re juggling all of the things: marketing, sales, customer jobs, family, and other obligations… it can be overwhelming and the decision fatigue! In this grind culture, it’s easier to put off self care because it doesn’t generate money….?? But think about that for a minute. When you give yourself time away from the business, you feel more relaxed and refreshed. When your relaxed and refreshed you can think more clearly and sell better because you feel better. I just spent Friday afternoon through Monday away from the business… camping on a farm with little reception and so many animals ?? The world didn’t stop and having barely any reception helped me with staying away from work, but still gave me relief if there was an emergency.
