We are thrilled to celebrate the retirement of Dave Sanders, our former President and CEO, and a cornerstone of BDA Architects for the past 40 years. Starting as an intern, Dave’s unwavering dedication and vision guided him up the ranks to lead our firm through the architecture industry's triumphs and challenges. His expertise, particularly in healthcare projects, helped elevate our work to new heights. Dave was more than a leader; he was a mentor, a colleague, and a source of inspiration who never shied away from a little fun. As the first BDA President outside the Burkavage family, his legacy is both historic and impactful. Thankfully, Dave won’t be too far away, as he transitions into a mentoring and consulting role at BDA on a part-time, as-needed basis. We hope he also finds plenty of time to enjoy life with his family, especially his granddaughter, traveling, and, of course, perfecting his golf game.
