The Council has been serving Northern Nevada's men and women in construction since 1928. The Council represents more than a dozen local affiliates and their members by promoting state-of-the-art training programs, furthering opportunities within the local jurisdiction, ensuring all contractors follow the labor laws of the State of Nevada, and lobbying for fair labor rights and issues at the local, state, and national level. Council jurisdiction includes the northern counties of the State of Nevada, Carson City, and the counties of Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Eureka, Humbolt, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey, Washoe, White Pine, and portions of Nye County.
