Here's a provocative thought: Growing your cause online is simple. Provocative, maybe. But true. Growing your cause online is simple, but hard to execute. It requires consistency, discipline and focus - that's where most organizations struggle. The principles underlying the marketing of your cause are pretty basic - and if you put in the work, you can't not succeed. If you're ready to head onto this path, read our latest post: "The 4 Steps to Growing Your Cause Online" and see for yourself. The journey awaits! https://lnkd.in/eDpyaHpn #nonprofitmarketing #webdesign #marketing

Google is now experimenting with AI-enabled search, and lots of people are freaking out. Those people are getting it wrong. Yes, this is the next evolution in search - but it doesn't mean search as a marketing tactic is "over." Quite the contrary, Google is aiming to provide a superior search experience. That means more people will be searching, and that's a good thing for your cause. This month's blog post goes in-depth on Google's foray into AI-enabled search, what it means for your nonprofit, and what you can do to take advantage. Take a look and be inspired to grow, and to run a better nonprofit. https://lnkd.in/eU3MTmFb #AI #search #artificialintelligence #nonprofitmarketing

Landing pages are critically important to successful nonprofit and school marketing. What are they? Think of a landing page as a single web page that exists either on - or off - your website - but they are the first place a visitor "lands" after they've clicked on one of your ads or promotions. With a landing page, you're looking to "close the sale" on the offer you've made public: whether that's a fundraising push, a membership solicitation, or a good ole' "learn more" initiative. At BCS Interactive we've built some wildly successful landing pages. It comes to down to being consistent from ad to page, and then focusing on the magic word: convert, convert, convert (okay, that was three, but you get the point) #landingpages #nonprofitmarketing #digitalmarketing #schoolmarketing

By definition, a nonprofit has a beautiful and human story. The purpose of great nonprofit web design is to capture that magic - to make people want to support and immerse themselves in the cause. Done correctly, the final product will convey the organization's mission, representing it through emotionally-engaging content and design that conveys the cause's brand. See how we brought all of these elements to bear in the redesign of the Pillar Schools Website (part of the Pillar Care Continuum family). Check out the case study here:?https://lnkd.in/gqHBWKW

The right messaging + the right audience = Awareness. We're so proud of our partnership with the Adler Aphasia Center. It's an amazing thing to watch this selfless, dedicated organization grow and serve more individuals and families facing aphasia. Through our digital awareness work with the center, we've been to help them expand their mission and educate more people about aphasia and aphasia care. If you or someone you know has aphasia, and would like to explore options for support and care, visit www.adleraphasiacenter.org

When the board approves funding for your digital marketing plans, it's a huge win.?But at some point, that same board is going to want to see results.? ? Reporting positive ROI is tricky enough - but how do you it when it's all about "click-throughs" and "costs per impression" and "landing page conversions?" In other words how, in the language of digital marketing, can you define success? Check out our latest post, "The Board Wants to See Marketing Results. Now What?" for three tools you can use to report in like a hero! https://lnkd.in/eBgwqCy9 #nonprofitmarketing #digitalmarketing #webdesign ?

Whether you're a foundation that's receiving grant applications, a social services organization with HR or hiring needs, or a nonprofit that derives revenue from selling knowledge or products, you have processes. Automating these processes through online tools will vastly increase your organization's efficiency, saving you time and money. Additionally it will make both your users - and your internal team - markedly happier. Sometimes, these tools can be bought "off-the-shelf" in the form of third-party applications. Sometimes, it's best to build custom. In either case, review your processes. Emphasize efficiency. And then, decide what can be made better. Chances are, a lot can be. #nonprofitmarketing #softwaredevelopment #webdesign

Whether you're planning a digital ad campaign, building a social media community or re-designing a website, you should outline clearly - well before project start - what your desired outcomes will be. Look at this from both a "hard metrics" perspective ("we want to acquire x many donors, have x people convert via our form, grow our base to x followers") as well as from a strategic point of view ("we want our community to feel this emotion when they engage with us on-line, we want to reinforce our brand among XYZ audience," etc.) Although you may not achieve everything you set out for, these targets will provide rallying points around which your team and your agency can unite. At the end of the day, it's much better than flying blind. #nonprofitmarketing #nonprofitstrategy #digitalmarketing #webdesign

It's cliche, but true: the numbers don't lie. By watching the numbers carefully, drawing conclusions, and acting on those findings, you'll raise more funds, control costs and make better strategic decisions.?Here's how: 1. Your website, email marketing software and social channels are throwing off a ton of great data (analytics) - get to know the basics of what these platforms are telling you (LinkedIn offers great courses on this.) 2. Set up reports that will capture this data. We like Raven, but there are many others out there. 3. Set up a formal, weekly data review session with your key decision-makers. Come to the table with conclusions about what the data is telling you. Here are some examples: - What sections of your website are proving to be popular among your donor base? What is that telling you - increase programs, provide more content in that area, court donors showing interest here? - Which social posts prompted the most interest? Were some community members more apt to give based on those posts than others? Which posts were the most shared (which means you’ve hit a nerve) - will you build on that? - Take all of your data together - what picture is developing from that aggregate view? Have these sessions once a week; do them for a year - you will emerge a different, improved organization, with a leg up on the competitors vying for the same dollars. #nonprofitmarketing #analytics #webmarketing
