The fund honors Charlie Bartsch, a dedicated advocate for brownfield remediation and redevelopment. Bartsch was widely regarded as the nation’s leading expert in leveraging state and federal incentives to advance community-focused projects. Beyond his expertise, he was known for his kindness and generosity. In his memory, BCONE created this scholarship to support the next generation of environmental professionals. Applicants must fit the criteria and become a student member of The Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast.
