Kickass Headshots and event photographer for hustlers from seed rounds to C-suites - and their families

I feel depressed. And in this current climate, I want to scream. With all that my country needs from me, I feel helpless. Because I want to do so much, but emotionally mentally physically I'm just one person and can't do it alone. But I'm also one person with a camera. And what I can do with my camera is elevate an organization's mission to help immigrant families feel joy, belonging, and hope. These photos can also extend the reach of their marketing, community support, and even help them secure the funding and support they need to continue their work. I volunteered to photograph these families with BCNC after connecting with Joann Lu Yung. Support them. If you work with immigrant and refugee families, please reach out to me because I'd love to parter with your mission.

Last month, professionals from Deloitte provided an informative career exploration workshop for 30 youth in Boston and Quincy. They introduced students to the field of accounting and working in an accounting firm. In addition to accounting, the Deloitte team also shared insights into other career opportunities such as in law, consulting, and software support. Youth shared that hearing directly from someone in the field helped them better understand an accountant’s job and inspired them to think about their own futures. A big thank you to Jimmy Chow and the Deloitte MADE initiative for volunteering and engaging our youth at BCNC! Jimmy Chow attended the Youth Program when he was in high school and BCNC is where he received academic support and found community. Special thanks to Jimmy for organizing this new partnership and giving back! The BCNC Youth Program provides opportunities for youth to build connections, explore and understand their community, and put leadership skills into action to support youth to thrive in school and beyond. Xiaobin, former BCNC youth participant and first-generation college student, returns to BCNC to tutor and support high school students as they navigate the college application process. When asked why he chose to return to BCNC, Xiaobin explained it was important to him to give back to the community that provided him with a safe and supportive environment during a crucial time in his life. He actively participated in regular BCNC activities including workshops on preparing for college and college tours. Financial aid was especially critical for Xiaobin as he came from a low-income family and was the first in his family to attend college. “BCNC is like a part of my home. Even after graduation, BCNC is still supporting me with great resources,” shared Xiaobin. Read more about Xiaobin's story at bcnc.net/news : Xiaobin (L) and his mentor, Jeanelle Tsai (R)
