Last Friday took place the UAM Plazza Accelerator Demo Day, In this event at the BCN Drone Center, the startups participating in the UAM Plazza Accelerator showcased the cutting-edge solutions developed by them. On Demo Day, 432 Technologies, AERIX SYSTEMS, Avy, FIRST AIRBORNE, Maple Aviation, and Skypuzzler took the stage to pitch their ideas, followed by demonstrations of the software solutions. ?? From sustainable transportation technologies to smart city solutions, attendants experienced firsthand how these companies are shaping the future of air mobility on a global scale. ?? Thanks to Raül Feliu Pèlach from EIT Urban Mobility and the other participants for attending and for discussing and questioning the startups about their solutions and the progress of their projects. UAM Plazza Accelerator is an initiative supported by EIT Urban Mobility and managed by Toulouse – Ville de Toulouse, CARNET, and Aerospace Valley.

We had the pleasure of reconnecting with old friends, exploring exciting new projects, and engaging with stakeholders across the entire UAS ecosystem: NAAs, ANSPs, manufacturers, operators, end users, and more! It’s fantastic to witness Spain's growing influence year after year, with representation across all areas of the sector. Last Saturday, we had the honor of attending the 20th anniversary celebration of BGEO OPEN GIS, S.L. ??, a company dedicated to consulting, implementation, and training in Open Source technologies, GIS, Water Management, and the development of the Giswater tool, which we have had the pleasure of working with for many years. We were thrilled to attend the XPRIZE Wildfire Summit ?? along with the other teams participating in this challenge to end wildfires. It was held at the University of Utah ??, where we listened to experts, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders in fire management from all over the world. We gave a brief pitch about our project, Aerowatch ?? (https://aerowatch.tech/), which is a consortium of over 10 companies specializing in various components of the solution (BCN Drone Center, CATUAV, Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), Flare Bright, Near Space Labs, Mobious Consulting, Pau Costa Foundation, Robotto.ai, Skycharge, Viasat, Videosoft Global, Volant Autonomy). Aerowatch acted as an enabler of diverse technology, allowing for intelligent decisions that could reduce reaction time before a fire reached catastrophic dimensions ??. BCN Drone Center and Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) were co-leaders of this initiative. M. Eulàlia Parés Calaf from CTTC and Daniel Castillo from BCN Drone Center presented this orchestrated solution. Aviation played a key role, and we couldn’t miss the opportunity to participate alongside other members of both the traditional aviation sector and the uncrewed aerial systems (drones) community. ???? Among the many topics we discussed were Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Satellites, Regulations, and Women in Aerospace. ?????????
