The Department holds an annual April celebration to celebrate the Month of the Military Child, which spotlights the sacrifices military children also make in support of their parents’ service to our country. As the son of a U.S. Navy Veteran, it has been important to me to participate with the event and support the cause, and I’ll be present at the April 19th celebration at Hemisfair this year. As we complete the final administrative actions to allow us to use this additional money from the Texas Veterans Commission’s Fund for Veterans Assistance, we are refining our processes to improve organizational efficiencies and following up with past clients to ensure they remain in a better place financially.
