DC West Community Schools has officially broken ground on their new sports complex. The complex will feature a football field, track, softball field and baseball field. This development will provide enhanced facilities for students and the community. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have for many years to come!

The Waters Edge Methodist Church- Omaha, NE ? Phase 2 of The Water's Edge master plan is complete! The project added additional classrooms for youth groups, creating a space for learning and fellowship. A second worship area was built to accommodate more gatherings for the growing congregation. Plus, a larger café was added, designed as a hub for connection and conversation. These additions ensure Waters Edge can continue to grow and serve its thriving community in even more meaningful ways.

Kramer Education Center- Columbus, NE Kramer Education Center, formerly a middle school, has been renovated to house the Kramer Pre-School and the Kramer Child Development Center. The renovation of the existing building, along with the new addition added a preschool wing, daycare/childcare spaces, administrative areas, and a large conference space that can be subdivided into two spaces, to accommodate meetings of any size. The gym was refreshed with new lighting, and windows to bring in natural light, while clerestory windows along the central corridor now flood the building with natural light. Both the Pre-K and Child Development Center wings include storm shelters and adjacent playgrounds, each with secured main entries for added safety, a priority of the districts.

Congratulations to Southeast Community College and the entire project team on the Health Sciences Building for winning a 2024 AIA Minneapolis Merit Award! ? The building was designed by Perkins&Will with BCDM Architects and Morrissey Engineering,?and built by Hausmann Construction . Project Control’s Justin Short, Jessica Goodrich, MBA, and Adam Hoebelheinrich served as the project managers for SCC. ? The student-centered facility benefits the college and community by increasing the school’s capacity to provide highly trained professionals in fields currently experiencing workforce shortages. ? Students benefit from health science labs, active learning classrooms, outdoor spaces, and a three-story Interdisciplinary Simulation Center. This center includes realistic medical exam rooms, a simulation apartment, and high-fidelity patient suites. Once a year, the entire student body engages in a day-long simulation where the south side of the building transforms into a functioning mini-hospital. ? As healthcare delivery methods evolve, so should the schools that prepare future generations of healthcare professionals. Winner of a 2024 AIA Minneapolis Merit Award and designed by Perkins&Will with BCDM Architects, the Southeast Community College Health Sciences Building has had an enormous impact on its Lincoln, Nebraska community and region at large by increasing the capacity to provide highly skilled, interdisciplinary professionals, in careers where there are currently workforce shortages. This facility has advanced healthcare education in the region in innovation, flexibility, and access. SCC offers instruction and firsthand training in 18 health sciences programs like nursing, radiography, and respiratory therapy. Students come from urban, suburban, and rural areas, many joining classes remotely and completing hands-on work at smaller learning centers. The student-centered facility includes health science labs, active learning classrooms, outdoor learning spaces, and a three-story Interdisciplinary Simulation Center simulating real-life medical exam rooms for standardized patients, a simulation apartment, and mock-simulation patient room suite with high fidelity mannequins. The curriculum and building work in tandem to facilitate practical, direct learning between and among professions. Once a year, the entire student body participates in a day-long simulation exercise. Congratulations to the Gothenburg community on the grand opening of the Gothenburg Impact Center—a true testament to what a community can achieve when it comes together. The Early Learning Center, Healthy Families Center, and Event Center will be spaces where future generations can learn, grow, and gather. As shared at the ribbon-cutting ceremony: 'If you can, you should.' And Gothenburg, you certainly did!
