The investment and commitment by BC Partners, together with cash on hand, provides ContextLogic with access to up to $300mm of cash and $2.7bn of cumulative net operating losses. Together, BC Partners and ContextLogic will review, identify, and evaluate strategic opportunities for the benefit of ContextLogic and its stockholders, positioning the company to execute on its stated acquisition-led value maximization strategy. BC Partners' portfolio company United Group B.V., the leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeastern Europe, announced today that it has reached an agreement to sell SBB Serbia BroadBand to e& PPF Telecom, as well as NetTV Plus and its sports broadcasting rights for Western Balkans to Telekom Srbija. Commenting on the news, Nikos Stathopoulos, Chairman, Europe at BC Partners said:?“This successful divestment allows the company to solely focus on its operations in EU markets, where the business offers converged mobile and fixed telco services and where we see considerable growth potential.” Congratulations to the United Group team, who will have successfully completed their strategic objective of exiting and successfully monetising the company's telco assets outside the EU, following the close of these transactions.
