Last week, we were thrilled to announce the establishment of The Miller Institute for Democracy, made possible by a generous $2.5 million endowment from Sara Miller McCune, a publishing pioneer and BBYO’s 15th International N’siah. Unveiled at #AZABBGIC2025, this groundbreaking initiative will empower teens to explore the role of media in democracy, develop skills for civil discourse, and actively engage in democratic practices. At #AZABBGIC2025, Mini Israel was more than just a space to listen to Israeli music, play matkot (paddleball), and learn about the people and culture of Israel —it was also a testament to our resilience and unity. The Unbroken exhibit, which highlighted the role of sports in inspiring and uniting us in times of adversity, alongside the empty yellow chairs symbolizing those still held hostage in Gaza, each spoke volumes about our collective memory. As we prepare for tomorrow, when the bodies of the fallen will be returned, we stand in solemn reflection. We remember. We honor.
