?? It’s been just 6 months since BBVA partnered with OpenAI to deploy ChatGPT Enterprise across the organization, and the results have been remarkable! In fact, OpenAI has published a case study highlighting how #GenAI is driving innovation at BBVA. With 3,000 licenses distributed, 83% of users actively use the tool weekly, creating over 2,900 custom GPTs that enhance efficiency and creativity across the bank. All of this has been made possible thanks to the drive of BBVA's Global AI Adoption team, led by Elena Alfaro. OpenAI’s story reflects how BBVA’s people-first approach, combined with a strong focus on safe and responsible use, is transforming our organization. ?? This weekend, we had the honor of attending the ACM International Conference on AI in Finance #ICAIF24 in Brooklyn! ?? The conference gathered exceptional minds from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies to discuss the impact of #AI and machine learning on the future of finance ?? We presented two papers that highlight some of our work: ??? In the first presentation, our colleague Santiago Basaldúa introduced Mercury, BBVA’s Python library. Designed to streamline collaboration and efficiency among data scientists, Mercury addresses the challenges of developing and deploying predictive models in finance. In the second presentation, our colleague álvaro Ibraín Rodríguez discussed how we are addressing the challenge of forecasting financial transactions for retail customers. We proposed innovative preprocessing algorithms designed to identify recurring patterns in transactional data. This unsupervised approach simplifies the tasks of predicting the "next date" and "next amount." By disentangling overlapping patterns and eliminating non-recurrent noise, we enhance the accuracy of our predictions for real-world applications ???? ?? ?? Mercury in ICAIF! ?? Happy to announce that our paper, "Mercury: Reusable and Efficient ML Workflows in Finance" will be presented this week at ICAIF '24 in New York City! This work, conducted by the Mercury team at BBVA AI Factory, shows how Mercury is designed to boost efficiency and reusability in ML workflows for the financial sector (with potential applications across various industries). What’s more, all modules developed in this project are available as open-source, making it easier for teams everywhere to integrate these components into their projects.
