Today, B. Braun CEO Anna Maria Braun and CFO Ingrun Alsleben presented the key financials for the fiscal year 2024 at a virtual press conference. Despite a demanding environment, B. Braun reported a 4.4% increase in sales, reaching 9.1 billion euros. Profit before taxes improved primarily due to increased efficiency and optimized structures. ? “We are pleased with development in the 2024 fiscal year,” said Anna Maria Braun. “The sales growth is a clear indicator that our products and solutions are convincing. Thanks to our clear focus and discipline, we have achieved a good improvement in result. One Million Infusion Pumps from Melsungen ??? Milestone for B. Braun: We have built the one millionth infusion pump in February! ???In 2004, B. Braun started producing volumetric infusion pumps - devices that can continuously and very precisely deliver quantities of liquid at very slow to very fast speeds. A special detail: Since the beginning, Melsungen has been the dedicated production site for the pumps. From Hesse, Germany the pumps have been sold to 179 countries worldwide. “This continuous production in our town underlines our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation," explains Markus Discher, Senior Product Manager Dedicated Pump Disposables & Space Pumps. Their compact and lightweight hardware has been a defining feature of the pumps since the start. Braun Taiwan proudly inaugurated the Aesculap Academy – Liang Shong Lee Asia Pacific Training Centre at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). Since 1995, Aesculap Academy has evolved into a globally recognized training institution. The new facility in Taiwan underscores our commitment to the continuous education of healthcare professionals. ?? Thanks to the collaboration between B. Braun Taiwan, NYCU, Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH), and the Lee Liang-Shong Neurosurgery Foundation, the existing training center was transformed into a state-of-the-art facility.
