Grande Cheese Company has been an incredible supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County for years. We're so thrilled that Grande has taken the next step in their commitment to local youth, by partnering with BBBS for a *new* site-based mentoring program! 10 Grande "Bigs" met their Littles for the first time last Wednesday, and there were smiles & laughter all around. ???? These site-based matches will get together at the new BBBS mentoring facility twice a month for games, arts & crafts, sports & snacks, and lots of friendship & fun! THANK YOU Grande Cheese Company for helping pilot this program; we can't wait to watch it grow and serve more children in the Fond du Lac area!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County celebrated the opening of our new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 17th! Members of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, Ripon Area Chamber Of Commerce, as well as the BBBSFDL Board of Directors and staff were in attendance. There were opportunities to learn about BBBS programs and receive a tour of the new facility. The new building offers multiple meeting rooms, an expansive outdoor space, and increased visibility in the community while remaining accessible to the families already being served by the organization. Thanks to the additional amenities offered at the new building, BBBS is piloting a site-based mentoring program with volunteers from Grande Cheese Company this fall. Participating employees are being matched one-on-one with a child, who they will meet with at the BBBS office after work twice a month. BBBS hopes to eventually expand the program, in partnership with other local companies. The BBBS team is still making adjustments to the new building to create the perfect space for the youth-serving organization. An open house for volunteers, children, families, and the general public will take place in coming months.

Every one of our Big volunteers is valued....but repeat volunteers hold a special place in our hearts. ???? Big Sister Amy Samens just completed a match to a Little Brother who graduated from high school in spring. Amy did not skip a beat, quickly signing up to volunteer again as a school-based Big Sister! ?? She was recently matched with Little Brother Elijah. They enjoy eating lunch together and building with LEGOs. Thank you very much Amy for sharing your time with local youth!
