Bayview Physicians Group is a premier, multi-specialty, independent physicians group, serving neighborhoods in the Hampton Roads area, including Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. Bayview offers quality medical services with over 300 providers in 75 outpatient care sites, 6 Urgent Care Centers and 5 hospitals. We are proud to offer convenient locations for regular doctor appointments, after hours Urgent Care services and, when needed, inpatient hospitalist services. Over the past 30+ years, our group has expanded to provide expert treatment in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care and specialties including Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Hospital Care, Gastroenterology, OB/GYN, Occupational Medicine, Podiatry, Pulmonary & Critical Care, Rheumatology, and Sleep Medicine. Our team is comprised of many of the finest physicians and medical staff in the area. Bayview has also assembled a top-notch team of physicians dedicated to caring for hospitalized patients. Hospitalists bridge the gap between inpatient and outpatient care and provide consistent and attentive care when the need for hospitalization arises. Our team of hospital physicians provides in-patient services at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Sentara Leigh Hospital, Sentara Obici Hospital, Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, and Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. In order to help our patients navigate a myriad of healthcare options, Bayview offers the convenience of electronic medical records and our offices are equipped with state of the art technology.   • We are pleased to welcome Cynthia Dorr, MD, to Bayview Physicians Group! Dr. Dorr will be joining our NowCare Urgent Care Centers. Dr. Dorr is a dedicated physician with a unique background, having worked as a nurse in the emergency department for 13 years before transitioning to a career as an emergency medicine physician. With over 20 years of experience practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Dorr has most recently expanded her expertise to include urgent care and geriatric primary care. She is passionate about community medicine, actively mentoring both medical and physician assistant students. Dr. Dorr is also deeply committed to mission work, having traveled to Lesotho, South Africa, and Belize for medical missions. Outside of her professional life she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, and their two beloved Yorkie pups.   • We are excited to introduce Marialaura Paucar, FNP-BC, as the newest member of Bayview Physicians Group! Ms. Paucar will be joining our NowCare Urgent Care Centers. A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Paucar is also an active member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her clinical focus includes women’s health, orthopedics, and primary prevention, with a commitment to delivering personalized, holistic care to meet each patient’s unique needs. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Paucar enjoys savoring a good cup of coffee and spending time with her family and two dogs. Before beginning her nursing career, she lived in Japan for eight years, an experience that fueled her passion for travel and exploring diverse cultures.   • Please join us in honoring Ronald Buckley, DO, who celebrated his retirement on November 15, 2024 from his 35-year career in patient care. Dr. Buckley joined Lakeview Medical Center in 1999 after completing his dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland. He also served as Chief of Dermatology Services at Naval Hospital Charleston in South Carolina prior to resigning his commission as Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Over the last 25 years at Lakeview Medical Center, Dr. Buckley has served thousands of patients from Virginia and North Carolina. Dr. Buckley has been a staple in the community and has always been committed to delivering the best care for his patients. Dr. Buckley’s commitment to excellence, warmth, and compassionate care will be missed by his colleagues, staff, and patients.
