Women in Behavior Science and Haley Forest are inviting you to a thought-provoking discussion on the science behind creativity and how we can tap into its full potential as behavioral scientists. This session explores how brain mechanisms shape creativity, reframing it from a mysterious talent to a cognitive process driven by neural activity. We will examine how creative thinking involves both divergent thinking (idea generation) and convergent thinking (evaluation), supported by key neural networks, functional brain regions, and neurotransmitters.? The session will also discuss practical ways to enhance creativity through neuroplasticity and neurotechnology, as well as the ethical implications of such approaches and ideas for future directions in the field.
