At USF/TGH, we are recruiting for two surgeon positions. You will join a growing division of 12 faculty and APP’s. TGH is the only ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center for Adults & Peds on the West Coast of Florida. We are looking for the next Medical Director of the STICU and the Program Director of the Surgical Critical Care fellowship (4 fellows). The successful candidate should be a mid-career (>5yrs) a track record of ICU leadership with an academic interest in graduate education and critical care research. The second position is an open-rank trauma/acute care surgery, with an interest in academics and research in trauma, EGS, and surgical critical care. Congrats - looks like a great team!
The USF Department of Emergency Medicine is excited to announce the appointment of our Vice Chairs, Dr. David Wein and Dr. Haru Okuda. Dr. David Wein already serves as our system medical director and Vice Chief of Staff. As Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs, he will continue his operational leadership of the TGH Emergency Departments but also help oversee the buildout of our outpatient clinical operations. Dr. Haru Okuda has served as the CEO of CAMLS, Associate VP of USF Health IPEP and the Associate Dean of Emerging Healthcare & Educational Technologies. He will continue his work at CAMLS, IPEP and other USF Health positions (but won't sleep anymore). As Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, Dr. Haru Okuda will help oversee Faculty Development and new Education Initiatives. Please join me in congratulating Dr. David Wein and Dr. Haru Okuda! We are continuing to recruit a Vice Chair of Research and getting stronger everyday!
