Earlier today, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Turner Student Business Accelerator,?The Marketplace, launched in the Student Union Building. The Marketplace, offers Baylor University students a unique opportunity to sell their products on campus in a high-traffic location with over 5,000 visitors daily. The Marketplace is supported by Cody, Casey, and Shane Turner and is a partnership between the Office of Innovation & Economic Development, the Baugh Center, the Department of Human Sciences & Design, Student Activities, and Advancement. Our next Waco Under 40 honoree is Priscilla James! Priscilla James is the Program Manager of the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise at Baylor University. She is also the owner and founder of Priscilla's Joyful Events. She manages the prestigious Baylor New Venture Competition, which ranks in the top 5 of the largest university-sponsored collegiate entrepreneurship competitions. In this role, Priscilla has also been privileged to found the Baylor Business Impact Awards. This program honors the businesses of Baylor Alumni, Texas families and current students who make an impact in their company, industry, and community.
