Eleniz Dias and I have been meeting for almost a year to discuss personal and professional growth as part of the #B4U program of Bayer | Crop Science and Universidade Federal de Vi?osa. It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn more about her desires, aspirations, and challenges and talk about taking the most positive learnings of every life experience. Eleniz, I enjoyed every meeting we had over this time. You are an outstanding person and professional. Jo?o Pedro is proud of his mother! I’m sure about it. We closed the #B4U sessions today, but I’m happy to have made a new friend. Wishing you all the best in life and career. Undoubtedly, any company would be lucky to have you on board!! #B4U Bayer University Mentoring Program No último dia 20, concluí uma das experiências mais enriquecedoras do último ano: o Programa de Mentoria da Bayer 2024. Foram meses de muito aprendizado, trocas inspiradoras e crescimento profissional. Descobri habilidades que nem imaginava ter, identifiquei pontos de melhoria e tive a oportunidade de conversar com profissionais brilhantes de diversas áreas. Cada intera??o foi um aprendizado, e cada insight me trouxe mais clareza sobre o caminho que quero trilhar. Sou imensamente grato por essa oportunidade e pelo apoio do time da Unicamp, da Bayer e, especialmente, do meu mentor, que, a cada conversa, ofereceu direcionamentos valiosos para o meu futuro profissional. Que venham os próximos desafios! ??

Este mês, finalizei minha participa??o no Bayer University Mentoring Program (#B4U). Durante um ano, tive a oportunidade de estar mais próximo de líderes e gestores da Bayer, além de contar com uma mentoria incrível do Rodrigo Tristan Louren?o. Essa experiência contribuiu imensamente para o meu crescimento profissional e pessoal. Toda a jornada de mentoria, os encontros com outros mentores e mentees foram fontes de inspira??o para minha carreira, ajudando no desenvolvimento das minhas habilidades, especialmente as soft skills. Agrade?o imensamente ao meu mentor, Rodrigo Tristan Lourenco, por ter me escolhido como mentorado e por toda a troca de conhecimento ao longo desse período. Sua dedica??o, tempo e disponibilidade fizeram dessa experiência algo realmente valioso! Meu agradecimento especial também à equipe do #B4U, que se empenhou ao máximo para organizar o programa com excelência, sempre demonstrando preocupa??o e compromisso em nos proporcionar o melhor. Além disso, sou muito grato à Amanda Bernardi, que abriu essa oportunidade para os alunos da Pós-gradua??o no IAC - Instituto Agron?mico, tornando essa experiência possível. Bayer University Mentoring Program 2025 cohort kickoff will be this Thursday!

February marked the end of the Bayer University Mentoring Program Virginia Tech 2024 cohort. The mentees enjoyed a lunch ?? sponsored by the program (thanks Masha Trenhaile) and organized by my mentee Elisabeth Kitchin. We had a great turnout with many students, including prospective applicants, eager to learn more about the program. I'm proud to be part of such a committed community and look forward to the start of the 2025 cohort in March. I will be transitioning and, together with Tommi White, leading the North America chapter. Kaitlyn Courville will take control and lead the VT chapter. Great talk coming to #UIUC!

On October 24th, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center (DDPSC) hosted its annual BioBash, a community-driven career networking and job fair event proudly sponsored by Bayer. This free, one-day event brought together the St. Louis scientific community to explore a wide range of career opportunities in the life sciences. One of the highlights of the BioBash was our B4U booth at the Job Fair & Networking Mixer. The booth attracted a large audience, providing an excellent opportunity for participants to connect with #teambayer representatives and learn more about career opportunities within the company. This vibrant space fostered valuable conversations, allowing attendees to ask questions and gain insights into the life science industry.
