Last week, #BayClub associates across our 26 clubs had the opportunity to come together at our Annual Meeting—taking place at?1440 Multiversity.?It is a special time for over 300 of our team members, friends of the Bay Club, and special guests to connect, reflect, and dream.??We are so grateful for this time we get to spend together and leave feeling inspired and proud of the culture we have created here at the Bay Club.

This past summer, I was incredibly fortunate to take part in the very first Sports & Active Lifestyle Internship with The Bay Club Company. The Sports & Active Lifestyle industry is rapidly growing, blending sports, outdoor recreation, and active living into a dynamic and thriving field. During the internship, I had the opportunity to visit Bay Club properties and connect with the company's partners, as well as key players in the industry like the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco Giants, Nike, Los Angeles Chargers, KKR, Morgan Stanley, Alterra Mountain Company,?KSL Capital Partners, Pebble Beach Resorts, and many more. Through these experiences, I gained a deeper understanding of the incredible opportunities within this field and how it intersects with various areas of the business world. This program not only opened doors for me but also broadened my perspective on the many career paths I can explore—paths that perfectly align with my passions, goals, and values. With the Summer 2025 applications now open (below), I wanted to take this as an opportunity to highly encourage anyone interested in this field to apply. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to dive into an industry that’s shaping the future. A heartfelt thank you to Matthew Stevens, Joe Dalecio, Erin R., Victor Woo, Ryan Burke, Tracy Cioffi, Nicole Janicki, Marissa Lucas, Jessica Frianela, Cristina Gonzalez, Madison Harris, and all the other amazing professionals who generously shared their time and knowledge. Your mentorship and guidance have left a lasting impact on me, deepening my passion for this industry and my love for The Bay Club Company.

We are excited to welcome?Mike Leveque?to the Bay Club team as our EVP New Business Development. ? With over 37 years in the global health and fitness industry, Mike brings a wealth of experience and leadership. He spent 18 years at Star Trac, a global commercial fitness equipment manufacturer, where he held roles including Managing Director of Europe and Africa and, ultimately, President and Chief Operating Officer. Mike later became CEO for the Americas and Group COO of Myzone?, leading the company’s growth to over 3 million users across 8,000 clubs in 84 countries. He also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and serves on the board of the Physical Activity Alliance, advocating for greater global access to fitness. ? “I have known Matthew Stevens for almost 30 years and have always admired his hard work and dedication to whatever project was in front of him. After spending time with the Bay Club team at their Annual Conference at 1440 Multiversity last month, what excites me the most about joining Bay Club is joining a team that has such a strong culture and a passion for delighting their members.” ? In his free time, Mike enjoys hiking with his wife (who was also his high school sweetheart!), traveling, and playing golf.? ? We’re thrilled to have Mike’s vision and expertise as we continue to expand and elevate the Bay Club!

Over the last 11 years, I've been lucky enough to attend eight annual meetings as a team member with The Bay Club Company. From Carmel Valley to San Diego, LA to Tahoe and now in Scotts Valley at the amazing 1440 Multiversity for the last two years, I feel very proud to work with so many top-notch leaders as part of a disruptive and innovative company in the Sports, Outdoor Recreation and Active Lifestyle space. The name Polaris explains this event as our North Star, helping to create alignment and clarity for our direction forward. Our Marketing team, under the leadership of Tracy Cioffi, knocked this one out of the park; the preparation, the execution and the Bay Club gear continue to get better every year. And to Matthew Stevens who motivates and leads us like no one else could! Congratulations to well-deserved award winners like Nick Diciaula, Annie Batista, Josh Lyon, Joe Dalecio, Ryan Burke, Debbie Bauer, Chelsea Ashbaker, Heather Seeto, Paula Neubert, Katrina Lemmon, Samantha Fioto, Karen Stevens, Fernando Chilvarguer and Pete Jones, as well as the SoCal Region, Redwood Shores, Fremont and the Accounting Team. Our awards are built from our Actions We Live By, which are more than just words on a wall...they are actions we can constantly hold ourselves accountable to representing every day. Very appreciative for the recognition in receiving the Think Ahead, Be an Owner award, and especially thankful for the kind words from the fellow leaders who nominated me. So lucky to be able to work with talented Sports and Fitness Leaders as well as Club Leaders on a daily basis to achieve our goals as a team. Extra meaningful that all awards to be voted by our 250+ leadership team...and we're still getting stronger! 2025 will be a year of continued innovation and disruption. Here's to the the crazy ones!
