As we close out Black History Month the Urban League is grateful to all those that attended our programs. During the All Star weekend,at the amazing Towne Fare restaurant along with the Bay Area Registry we hosted a conversation with NBA Hall of Famer and former Golden State Warriors icon Tim Hardaway. Our President Kenneth E. M. moderated the conversation with Michael D. Hardaway talked about his most memorable moments as a Warrior, his commitment to building community and support of his family. Art and story telling are critical for all communities. The Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area commissioned art portraits by two local African American artists, Ashlie Kègo and Zara. They produced two outstanding portraits of Bay Area Icons, Robert L. Harris and Amelia Ashley-Ward. Our President Kenneth Maxey is committed to highlighting history makers and continuing the work necessary to empower community.
