We get excited when instructor and artist Kevin Leopold asks to add some new projects to the Introduction to Solid Borosilicate page, and I’m sure you can see why! Learn Venetian Glassblowing from gifted glass artist Jonathan Chi, who will be visiting the Bay Area Glass Institute in April to teach “Introduction to Venetian Glassblowing: Goblets” in the hotshop. Students in this class will be challenged to efficiently execute thin and proportional vessels, becoming comfortable iterating with this approach to glass and combining constituent parts into simple stemware.
