We accomplish many things at BAXUS, but Ian Somerhalder beautifully explained one of my favorite things about what we're hoping to bring back to whiskey culture. Whiskey brings people together. For the longest time, bourbon was the great equalizer in the world of spirits, accessible, affordable, and unifying. Collecting, limited supply, and ultra-premiumization have made it harder for people to find those great bottles, to share with friends, that check all of the boxes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE old, dusty, and rare spirits, but even more than that I love introducing people to bottles they can go home and find on their local store shelves. The reason we started BAXUS was to make it easy to find those bottles as well as the unicorns you want to save for a special occasion.
