Through generous support from the C. T. Bauer Foundation, the Ted Bauer Undergraduate Business Scholarship program is celebrating a decade of helping #UHBauer undergraduate students reach their full academic potential. Through the program, selected students receive a scholarship to pay for their last two years of college to help them get involved in student orgs and focus on academics. The scholarship program is made possible by the unending support of the C. T. Bauer Foundation, which has given over $17 million to more than 600 #UHBauer students since 2015. https://lnkd.in/g3cgabAj

#UHBauer graduate students are actively involved in the TEX-E program, a collaboration among Greentown Labs, MIT’s Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship & universities across Texas that aims to create a powerful student-driven energy entrepreneurship ecosystem in and around Houston. ?? UH has over 20 Fellows participating in the program, including #UHBauer graduate students Abhaya (Abby) Chopra, Radhika Joshi, MBA, Aynaz Shafiesabet, Sarah Grace Kimberly & Pranjal Sheth, who alongside Professor Marcus Stewart spearheaded the TEX-E Feed Dinner on campus, hosting executives and selected students, totaling roughly 40 participants to foster crucial conversations around sustainability and energy. ???? In addition, 15 students were selected to attend Gastech as part of the TEX-E Future Leaders Program, which allowed them to engage with global energy experts, explore innovations in energy transition technologies and participate in high-level discussions on the future of the industry, and 40 students attended TEX-E Bootcamp at Greentown Labs, a weekend course featuring Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University professors teaching participants about possibilities within entrepreneurship. Last week, five UH TEX-E students represented the university at the MIT Energy Hackathon in Boston, which tasks teams with developing rapid, innovative solutions to problems in renewable energy, transportation and mobility, circularity, and land and agriculture.

Thank you, Mrs. Wolff. Cyvia Wolff, along with late husband Melvyn Wolff, gave a generous donation in 2008 to name the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (WCE) & continues to support the program and its students every year. As we celebrate this year's Number 1 ranking of the program, she is sharing her thoughts on the Wolff Center's legacy, how entrepreneurship spans & benefits all areas of UH, the importance of mentorship and how the Wolff Center is helping students grow into the next generation of business leaders.
