We are posting today in support of our dear colleague and friend, Russell Steward. Russell is facing an incredibly difficult challenge ahead after recently suffering a life-changing accident. Russell is a loved member of our b+r family. He was our technical director and senior editor for over twenty years, supporting countless projects since the early years of the company. We are sharing the GoFundMe page started by Russell’s daughter, Katie in the hope that you might consider contributing to help Russell and his family as they face the considerable expenses that will go toward medical care, equipment, and home renovations. This week, advocates, heads of state, philanthropists, and entertainers from around the world gathered for the 2024 Goalkeepers event organized by @gatesfoundation. Aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, the evening's program featured inspiring hosts, speakers, changemakers, and performers recognizing leaders advancing solutions to the growing global challenge of child malnutrion. b+r was honored to work with this incredible team.

We're celebrating the opening of the David M. Rubenstein Treasures Gallery at Library of Congress - a new permanent exhibition which has been years in the making. The Library of Congress is the world's largest library - it is the keeper of our collective memories. b+r designed and produced projections that immerse the room and showcase an artifact’s richness, texture, and materiality, often surprising visitors with the collections’ breadth. We partnered with sound designer Jeremy S. Bloom on the lush soundscape, as visitors see animated scenes of a toy theater or a curator paging through the very first issue of Superman. Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Jubilee, set sail with its first guests in December! b+r worked with the Carnival team and Infinite World Studios to design and produce media for six eleven-foot-tall virtual LED windows and a massive wave-shaped LED ceiling, immersing guests in awe-inspiring underwater scenes. The focal point of our work in Currents is the show Seaquest: A FunSub Adventure, in which the entire venue transforms into a submarine venturing through the deep and wondrous depths of the ocean. From an undersea Carnival vacation resort to a thrilling encounter with a giant electric eel, the show makes use of original 3D animation, theatrical lighting, music, and dynamic audio design. b+r was responsible for all creative elements including media design, production, scripting, and the original design of Carnival’s newest (fictional) vessel - the FunSub. Additional media pieces we created include Dr. Inks, Ph.D., The Golden Mermaid, and Dr. Seuss’ Underwater World. Dr. Inks invites guests into the home of a quirky, charming octopus and proprietor of her namesake bar in Currents. The Golden Mermaid features an elegant underwater city and a lustrous treasure trove occupied by an elusive mermaid. We were thrilled to work with MSG Entertainment on the creation of a brand-new?Overture?for the 2023?Christmas Spectacular?at Radio City Music Hall. Working with director Julie Branam,?b+r designed and produced media inspired by the art deco beauty of Radio City,?with original 3D animations projection-mapped across the full interior of the Hall. The?Overture?is?a true immersive, visual journey?- starting with the beautiful rays of a sunrise mapped to Radio City’s proscenium that builds to a beautiful art deco Christmas lattice-work with shifting architectural tiles, then a light-filled stained glass cathedral, a serene winter evening sky, a dazzling Christmas-tree interior filled with shining ornaments, and finally a sparkling art deco winter wonderland.??
