From Director of Design Dave Kosco: While on vacation in Maui last week, I had the honor and privilege of representing HomeAid America and Bassenian Lagoni at the ceremonial blessing and key handoff to the first 35 residents of Ka La?i Ola (Place of Peaceful Recovery). We’ve been working on this community with HomeAid Hawaii and the State, including Governor Josh Green. It was a very heartfelt and emotional ceremony. Families, whose lives have been on hold for the past 12 months since the devastating fires, received the keys to their new home. To be a part of the team has been an honor and a blessing. I want to personally thank team members Mark Kiner, Garrett Wilkinson and Milo Olea for all their efforts. It was certainly a lot of heavy lifting, and it hasn’t gone unrecognized, praised by both the Governor and the HomeAid National Board.?This short video clip features Governor Josh Green and HomeAid Hawaii Executive Director Kimo?Carvalho during the move-in ceremony.
