Basil is proud to sponsor the Buffalo Curling Club Veterans Curling Therapy Program! Yesterday the Buffalo Curling Club had a ribbon cutting to celebrate their new "house" (the term for the target in curling). Curling is a perfect sport for Veterans who come to participate with a variety of needs, and is an adaptive sport, allowing individuals to play regardless of age, physical limitations, or cognitive abilities. Some will deliver stones while sliding out of the hack, while others with injuries to knees or backs or using a wheelchair will deliver a stone using a delivery stick.
