Post-event communication is your chance to keep the momentum alive, nurture relationships, gather insights, and build anticipation for what’s next. Here’s how to keep the energy alive: ?? Wrap It Up Right: Send a follow-up email with session recordings, key takeaways, and heartfelt thank-you notes. This leaves a lasting and meaningful final impression. Or even get ahead of the game and send a safe travels email of gratitude an hour or two within the event wrap, including a CTA that is meaningful for your organization. ?Ask for Feedback: Incentivize attendees to complete surveys with exclusive perks like discounts, insider access, or product samples. Their insights are invaluable for your next event. Make sure it is something ONLY the attendee can get by participating, not something already on offer. ?? Build Future Excitement: Use the energy from your event to pre-register attendees for your next one. Tease what’s coming and give them a reason to stay connected. Secure your next destination before announcing pre-registration and you can extend the conference hype. Due to your strategic pre-event communication, your attendees are ready to engage and make the most of the experience your team has worked so hard to create. (Feeling a little lost? Head back to our post on how to set the “stage” pre-event! ??https://lnkd.in/ga6k5EQE) The arrival of your event doesn’t mean your communication stops! In fact, great communication during the event is what keeps everything running smoothly, helps attendees feel valued, and ensures they stay engaged from start to finish. Plus, it will free you up to oversee more valuable tasks that pull for your time on-site. Here’s how to maximize communicating with your guests during your event: ?? Stay Agile: Use text/Slack updates or event apps to share real-time changes, venue navigation tips, or exclusive opportunities. Keeping attendees in the loop makes them feel supported. Be strategic here, you only want to text your attendees 3-5 times in an entire day. ?? Offer Alternatives: Not everyone opts into text updates. Provide a live event landing page for real-time updates that mirror your text communications. Create pop-up notices for updates as well as update the agenda live to avoid confusion. ?? Enhance Connection: Use natural on-site touchpoints to connect and foster deeper relationships with attendees. A friendly personalized check-in at registration, a quick VIP meet-and-greet, or taking advantage of lines to check in and solicit live feedback.
