PROJECT UPDATE:?We’re excited to announce that we’ve successfully secured zoning approval from City Council for our Wicker Park redevelopment project! This marks a major milestone in our journey to transform this historic site into modern housing that meets the needs of the community. The property, previously two residential units and a commercial space, will now be transformed into eight residential units—increasing the housing density by 400% and adding much-needed housing stock to the neighborhood. With this approval in place, we’re moving full speed ahead on development plans and look forward to bringing this vision to life. We appreciate the Alderman's support and leadership in this common-sense approach to adding density and alleviating Chicago’s housing crisis. Stay tuned for more updates! #Base3Development #WickerPark #UrbanDevelopment #ChicagoRealEstate #AdaptiveReuse #CommunityGrowth Full Story: https://lnkd.in/gqZ7ziAP

The Future of Urban Development: Trends Shaping Modern Cities As cities continue to evolve, developers must stay ahead of emerging trends that shape the way we live, work, and connect. At Base 3 Development, we focus on creating spaces that not only meet today’s needs but are built for the future. Here are some key trends redefining urban development: ? Sustainable & Green Building – With a growing emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and net-zero carbon footprints, the future of development is undeniably green. ? Mixed-Use Communities – Walkability and convenience are driving demand for developments that integrate residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. People want vibrant communities, not just buildings. ? Smart Cities & Tech Integration – From AI-driven infrastructure to IoT-enabled smart homes, technology is revolutionizing the way cities operate and how residents experience their surroundings. ? Adaptive Reuse & Redevelopment – Instead of building new, many developers are repurposing existing structures to preserve history while creating modern, functional spaces. ? Housing Affordability & Innovative Design – Providing affordable housing is a top priority. With rising costs, developers must think outside the box—modular construction, co-living spaces, and micro-units are becoming solutions for urban affordability. At Base 3, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of urban development with forward-thinking strategies that align with these trends. What do you see as the biggest game-changer in urban development? Let’s discuss! ?? #UrbanDevelopment #FutureCities #SustainableLiving #SmartCities #AffordableHousing #RealEstateInnovation #Base3Development
