Giving Changes Everything. ?? Sometimes, I’ll admit, I don’t feel entirely in the holiday spirit. Maybe it’s the busyness of life or being distracted by work. But every time we pause to give, something shifts—it’s like the act of giving brings perspective and restores my spirit. This holiday season, we’ve supported a few causes close to our hearts: donating toys, books, and bikes to the #BoysandGirlsClub, offering our #NBAkings loft to foster kids and a local women’s shelter, and contributing to animal shelters. It doesn’t have to be big. Whether it’s donating gently used coats, a toy for Toys for Tots, or a cash gift to a nonprofit, giving—even in small ways—has a way of making a positive impact. So, here’s my challenge to you: find a way to give to someone or someplace that needs it this season. GovTech in K.C. Just got back from the State of GovTech 2024 conference in #KansasCity! It’s inspiring to see how far the #GovTech ecosystem has come and to help shape the future.??Thank you CivStart! These conferences are a great way to keep learning. We always get a few golden nuggets from our peers: knowledgeable investors, GovTech leaders, and those breaking the mold of traditional government. It was also terrific to see two of our #SaaS portfolio companies in action, Rep'd and Beam, Formerly Edquity both of which are leading the way in their government technology fields. Super proud of the work they’re doing! ?? We wrapped things up with listening to 22 GovTech startup pitches, some great networking with both newer startups and experienced investors, and enjoying (too much) K.C. #barbecue.
