Last week we had another successful year of our Experience the Barrens event! Thanks to the help of our local professionals, we were able to show rising high school students the potential careers you can have right here in Barren County. This event showcases our commitment to workforce development in the region and an investment into the future of manufacturing right at home.

The newest addition to our South Cooper Industrial Park is Lot 2, a 15 acre lot with a 7 acre graded pad. This lot sits nicely in the bend of Beltline Boulevard, providing a great view for all to see from the highway. Thanks to Scotty's Contracting & Stone, LLC for partnering with us on this project! Celebrating Manufacturing Month in Barren County! As this October comes to a close we wanted to take a moment to appreciate the incredible local industries that drive our economy and strengthen our community. Our innovative manufacturing facilities and dedicated workforce are a huge source of pride here at BCEA. Thank you for all you do!

Last week we had the opportunity to have our local industries join us for the annual Industry Appreciation Golf Scramble. We had a great time and it's an honor to give back to these industries for their investment into our community. Congratulations to our winners and title sponsor The Murphy Construction Group!

It's a very happy Friday here in our office since we get to announce the completion of our Lot 1 Spec Building in the South Cooper Industrial Park! This 50,000 square foot building sits at the front of our park and is ready to become the home of our next industry in Barren County. Expandable up to 240,000 square feet, this versatile building opens the door for many different opportunities in Southcentral Kentucky. We're constantly improving and thankful for all of our partnerships that make it possible! Follow along for more announcements soon.

Things are moving quickly here in Barren County. In Glasgow, our 50,000 and 100,000 square foot Spec Buildings are nearing completion and look great at the front of our park. Both are expected to be fully finished in September. Behind them we've begun grading an additional 34 acre lot to further develop our South Cooper Industrial Park as a premier location in Southcentral Kentucky. We've also been continuing work on our Chapatcha Park in Cave City. Bordering I-65, this will be an excellent site when finished and is looking better each day. We never stop improving in Barren County and we're looking forward to where this progress will take us.

Here in Barren County we pride ourselves on community. In addition to our talented workforce, centralized location, and award-winning schools, we offer a thriving downtown scene with plenty to enjoy. Check out our new industrial park in Barren County! This week we began setting steel for the first of two Spec Buildings at the new South Cooper Industrial Park here in Glasgow, KY. In addition to the two Spec Buildings are 100 acres of additional land that will begin development soon.
