Over 100 tourism and hospitality leaders gathered at the State House for "Tourism Economy Day," highlighting the industries' $3 billion annual impact, support for 35,000 jobs, and 11.5% representation in Vermont's workforce. Activities included meetings with legislators, a House Resolution, and discussions on workforce development and economic recovery. Advocates emphasized sustainability and the need for support in preparing for future challenges, with testimonies from industry representatives and policy leaders, including Barre’s Pearl Street Pizza and Morse Block Deli owner and chef, Stefano Coppola. With the Barre Community holding vast untapped tourism potential, we're eager to collaborate on efforts to explore and enhance its attractions.
