There are 32% fewer lenders in the market compared to a year ago, which has continued to widen credit-market spreads and increased the cost of borrowing. Private capital and alternative financing sources are stepping in to fill the gaps left by traditional banks, providing new opportunities for hotel financing despite the tough market conditions. 2.
