In honor of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, one of our very own, Crystal Eure, took the initiative to educate and empower our women with their boots on the ground. With a heartfelt story of her own, Crystal surprised the team by calling a meeting that ended up being all about THEM—complete with PINK EVERYTHING! During the meeting, these women learned about the importance of early detection and the value of truly listening to their bodies. Crystal also took the time to discuss how insurance can play a key role. What a powerful reminder of the #family we are and the #powerofourpeople. ??

Last week, Carolinas AGC leaders took to Capitol Hill to advocate for key issues affecting our construction industry! Joined by CAGC President and CEO Dave Simpson, our Board Members met with Congressional representatives from North and South Carolina to address workforce shortages, oppose impractical proposed heat standards, and discuss essential topics like regulation of PFAS and construction-related taxes. At the AGC of America’s National Chapter Leadership Conference, we engaged with lawmakers, including U.S. Representatives Virginia Foxx and Greg Murphy, as well as Senator Ted Budd. A highlight was a presentation by U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, alongside valuable insights from Congressional staff on effective advocacy. The groundbreaking of Fayetteville Technical Community College’s final phase of its new fire training center is a critical step forward. This facility will ensure more emergency responders receive the training they need to protect and serve our communities in times of crisis.
