We are thrilled to welcome Near Future's zem joaquin back to Barndiva to moderate our third 'Conversations Worth Having' THE FUTURE OF FASHION. Joining Zem will be Marci Zaroff, founder & CEO of ECOfashion Corp, a long time leader in creating healthy 'green' economies for fashion; Lewis Perkins, President, CEO of @Apparel Impact Institute, connecting stakeholders around urgent climate action with diverse funding and vetted program implementation; Garrett Gerson, Founder, CEO of VARIANT3D; and Liam Berryman CEO of Nelumbo, Inc, both at the cutting edge in using technology to produce new climate sensitive production methods and materials. We will gather on Sunday, August 11, at 5:30 in the Barndiva Gardens. Because this is Barndiva there will be Scott Beattie cocktails to sip, and an interactive art installation by CWH's Jil Hales(barndiva), Dawnelise Rosen (FARMpreneurs), Susan Preston (Preston Farm & Winery) and @Amber Mciniss. Maya Eshom will join us in the gardens with her exciting and game changing 'textiles on fire'. Conversations Worth Having is all about building a collective sense of community in Healdsburg. It is our belief that no problems are too big to solve if we work together, and we choose our subjects toward providing information that will help us all live lighter on the ground. Barndiva grew out of the desire to celebrate the exquisite food sheds of Sonoma and Mendocino Counties from Healdsburg to the ocean, with special attention paid to following the breadcrumbs up Hwy 128 through the Anderson Valley to Philo, where the family farm has grown dry farmed apples, figs, and chestnuts on a ridge above the pacific for the past three decades. While the family farm is still the heartbeat of our enterprise, Barndiva, designed and built as a unique destination for European style dining and parties, has grown in ways we never imagined. We are now spread over 1/2 acre in the center of town with two properties and adjacent gardens. We have elevated our dining experience to a Michelin Star level, and host a unique range of extraordinary food and wine experiences throughout the year.
