During a ceremony this week, we will recognize twelve officers as they graduate from our police academy. The event is being held Friday, March 14 at 6:00PM at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center located at 701 S Main St, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 "We proudly welcome twelve new officers to the Broken Arrow Police Department," said Broken Arrow Police Chief Lance Arnold. "Selected from a competitive pool of 169 applicants, these individuals have exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and a steadfast commitment to our mission and values - qualities our community expects and deserves. On behalf of the Broken Arrow Police Department, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the families and loved ones who stand in support of these officers as they embark on this pivotal chapter of their careers." The recruits began the police academy in September of 2024 and completed 27 weeks of more than 1,000 hours of intense training. They will graduate the academy and begin a 14-week Field Training program before being released to patrol on their own. This is the department's 15th group of officers to graduate since the department first launched a police academy in 2008. #BrokenArrowPolice
