This award honors Employers who hire our Nation's Heroes. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development. ? To be eligible for the platinum award, a company must have 10% of new hires be veterans during the award period; or retain 85% of their veterans and have at least 10% of their workforce be veterans. ? Recently our family member team participated in?Banner Defense, Inc?annual football tailgating event. Each member wore their favorite collegiate team's jerseys. Everyone enjoyed hearing from CEO Dave Johnson, providing direction with company progress, that included blue skies and great weather.??Great food and fellowship. Banner Defense, Inc was the Presenting Sponsor of?The Riley Center 15th Annual Gala held September 13 at UAH Student Services Building. The Riley Center’s Garden Party Gala and Silent Auction is the major fund-raising event of the year. The evening featured food, drinks, and great conversation with friends and supporters! Throughout the night everyone in attendance was able to bid on exclusive silent auction items and provide a bright future for individuals with Autism. As a result of the Gala fund raising, we’re proud to announce we reached and surpassed our goal of $100,000! The Riley Center?is a comprehensive center for?children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder?that has been providing services?since 2006?as one of the first providers for autism in North Alabama. Since its inception, The Riley Center has been providing comprehensive services to children and families based on evidence-based practices at or below cost. Banner Defense, Inc continues to provide major support, in helping The Riley Center to continue to be at the forefront of offering resources and services related to autism in Alabama.

Welcome Tim Orbison to the Banner Defense, Inc Family! What attracted Tim to join Banner Defense, he heard only great things, and was excited for the opportunity to join an elite team of professionals and specialists supporting American freedom! Outside of work Tim has a number of hobbies and interests that fill his off time. He enjoys riding motorcycles when he can, enjoys doing yard work and things around the house. He is an accomplished pilot with over 1500 hours of flying time and he does high altitude aerial photography for timber companies. Thanks Tim for joining our team!

Pete loves to spend time with his family traveling and finding out new things to do in the area they currently reside.?Fishing, hunting, and hiking are common activities they do as a family in the area they live (which has been a few times in recent years).?Pete also likes to work on his 1943 Ford GPW with his two older boys.
