The equation is simple. Attention must be stolen and clients deserve to be treated like friends.

It’s time you taste your own medicine, Big Pharma. It’s not every day that you get to work on a project that truly makes a difference in the world. We’re very proud to share this work. And we’re grateful for the team at Show-Me Organics for being bold enough to challenge opioid makers, while also proving there's a safer pain management alternative to opioids: cannabis. And we owe another huge thanks to all of our production partners in helping get this out; Strike Anywhere, Matt Sklar, & Human Worldwide. #tasteyourownmedicine Find out more about the campaign a tasteyourownmeds.com

While this new campaign is technically all about people lying on the internet, we promise we’re being very, very honest about this new work from our friends at Angi. Specifically, Dhanusha Sivajee, Katie Cranley, James Molloy and Patricio Luna. It's been a true partnership! As always, it takes a village. Thanks to BUTTER Music and Sound for working with us to create the music and new sonic branding, director Tim Godsall and the crew over at Anonymous Content, preymaker for all VFX, Mr. Bronx Audio Post for the mix, Arcade Edit for edit and Company 3 for color.

All of the qual and quant in the world would tell you to come see Danny Gonzalez and me speak StratFest 2024 in NYC on Oct 1. This year, the theme is “lingua franca” and the role of strategists as bridge builders between agency and marketer. Don't miss it! Agencies should be able to take credit for their work. The more we build up our agency the better talent we get to work on that friend’s business. Press is not a negotiation point, it’s a given. We won’t accept clients who think otherwise.
What a great first day at the Ad Age Small Agency Conference in Boston! Loved hearing from all these brilliant indies that are grinding it out every day to create amazing work and results for their clients. A few of my favorite nuggets from today: ? Re marketing your agency….Talk with prospective clients during the pitch - before the MSA negotiation - about the importance of being able to PR your work. It’s important, not just for the agency to grow, but to help attract the best talent to work on clients’ business. Preach Courtney Berry! ? We all know hiring is one of the hardest things we do. Look for talent in unusual places, and when reviewing books: start at the back. See what creativity looks like without a brief, and look for prolific makers. Matt Heath ? On prepping your agency for a sale…Women collect only .8% of the exit value in the U.S.(??!) Find the right investment banker to help you with the process and pay it forward to other female founders. Carrie Kerpen #EBITDA ? Brent Hodgins from Mirren reminded us that AI is not going to take your job, but someone that uses AI will. Loved the tips for iterative prompting and ways to leverage tools for all agency disciplines like AM/PM, not just creative.? ? To founders…pick a name that has meaning and find the themes that make you uniquely you. There are over 14k agencies out there so you have to find a way to differentiate.?(Everyone knows this but alas, it's still one of the hardest things to actually execute.) Also Boston: I ?? you.
