At BAM, we imagine, create and enrich buildings and infrastructure across the UK & Ireland. Our vision is to build a sustainable tomorrow. We think beyond the build and focus on the bigger impact. It’s how we make the iconic buildings and infrastructure that shape our society. And that’s why we’re on a mission to make possible. Connected communities, new habitats and brighter futures. These are just some of the things we’re making possible, wherever we go. At the top of our list is always making a positive impact possible - to create a more sustainable tomorrow, for everyone. BAM. Very pleased to welcome Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD and Minister Mike Nesbitt MLA to the New Children’s Hospital project in Dublin earlier today. It’s a privilege to share the exceptional work of our project team and supply chain partners, and the Ministers were able to see first hand the quality and scale of this hugely impressive building. Looking forward to welcoming colleagues from Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) in April as the initial equipping and commissioning gets underway. Working with our partners to reduce our carbon emissions. At BAM we thrive on building effective partnerships, and nothing demonstrates this more than Element 1; a government-funded, cross-industry consortium led by BAM developing an end-to-end dual-fuel hydrogen solution, converting existing machinery and reducing up to 30% diesel consumption. As the project reaches its conclusion, BAM’s Innovation Technical Lead, Colin Evison, summarises his thoughts in his latest blog. ?? ?? Laying a lasting legacy for the Scottish Borders and Midlothian. This week marks 10 years since BAM completed the track laying on Borders Railway which connected Edinburgh to The Scottish Borders by rail for the first time in over 50 years. Delivered for Network Rail with funding from the The Scottish Government, the line has proved to be enormously successful, with around 18 million passenger journeys completed since opening in September 2015. The Borders Railway has created a lasting legacy for communities along the route, helping to improve educational, employment and housing opportunities throughout the region. #MakingPossible #ScottishBorders Keith Brown MSP | Midlothian Council | Scottish Borders Council | Transport Scotland

Bridging the old with the new at Darlington’s historic station ?? A major milestone in Darlington Station’s transformation has been reached with the installation of a 50-tonne footbridge. This marks a significant step in creating a modern transport hub and a gateway to the region, one that will serve passengers for generations to come whilst honouring Darlington’s proud heritage as the birthplace of the passenger railway. Using a 750-tonne crane, the bridge was carefully lifted and rolled into place, ensuring minimal impact to the grade II-listed station. The footbridge will connect old with new, providing step-free access that links the historic station with the new eastern concourse and platforms 5 and 6. ? Matthew Murr, Operations Director, BAM UK & Ireland: "This success has been made possible through a shared vision and collaboration with our partners from the early development stages, through the planning phases, and into the execution of the work itself." ? Luke Durston,?Network Rail?principal programme sponsor, said:? “We’re delighted to be working with BAM and our other partners to deliver this exciting and transformational transport hub for Darlington. “The footbridge’s installation provides a striking visual marker of the progress we’re making, and we look forward to completing later this year. It will be a fitting close to this year’s Railway 200 celebrations.” #MakingPossible | Tees Valley Combined Authority | London North Eastern Railway

Simplicity, Visibility and Collaboration: the key to unlocking rail’s CP7 potential BAM Rail Director, Richard Watts will address Trans City Rail Midlands conference tomorrow, where he’ll be discussing how the rail industry must respond to the funding constraints and challenges of CP7 —and the steps that contractors, clients and supply chain need to take to ensure projects stay on track. Contractors: It’s time for a cultural shift, optimising scope, standardising/reducing design and simplifying solutions. A minimum viable product mindset will help deliver core project outcomes more efficiently. Rail Infrastructure Clients: Unlock and provide greater visibility of the funding priorities and key investment/procurement decisions as quickly as possible. Provide clearer line of sight to the supply chain, so we can prioritise resources effectively and avoid unnecessary inefficiencies. Together: We must challenge and refine project requirements and industry standards where possible, ensuring we deliver more for less without compromising safety or quality. Working together, the opportunity for smarter, more streamlined delivery Is greater than ever. Richard’s message: “The industry has a choice: adapt and innovate, or risk losing valued supply chain suppliers and investment. Looking forward to an engaging discussion with colleagues and industry leaders.” #TCRMidlands #UKRail #CP7 #MakingPossible TransCityRail
