After pouring millions of dollars into Detroit's revitalization, America's largest bank set its sights on Baltimore as its next big investment opportunity. In 2022, JP Morgan Chase pledged $20 million over 5 years to support Baltimore's entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community developers focused on reinvigorating vacant homes. The initiative in Detroit led other investors to follow suit, ultimately leading to a significant reduction in the city's unemployment rate. Similarly successful outcomes are anticipated?here in Baltimore, likely resulting in a reduction of vacant housing and an increase of well-paying jobs.
