Huge congratulations to Arion Long of Femly and Rebecca Rosenberg of ReBokeh Vision Technologies, Inc. for their incredible wins at Morgan Stanley’s Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures Pitch Competition! Baltimore founders continue to make waves on national stages, proving that our city is a powerhouse of innovation and impact. We’re proud to celebrate Baltimore Homecoming Crab Tank participants and their success and can’t wait to see what’s next!

Out of thousands of applicants, I was one of eight incredible CEOs from Baltimore and beyond who had the honor of pitching in the Baltimore Pitch Competition for Morgan Stanley's Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures Team. Every solution presented was beyond impressive, and I left the stage feeling deeply inspired by the incredible companies and thought leaders in the room. As a founder, storytelling and communication are skills I’m always working to refine—whether through paid speaking engagements, panel discussions, or high-stakes sales calls. And while practice makes progress, the nerves? Oh, they never really leave. ?? Outwardly, I might seem cool, calm, and collected, but inwardly? My brain is doing Olympic-level cartwheels before every public speaking moment. When I heard my name called as a winner, my stomach dropped to the floor. And what made it even sweeter? Sharing this win with Rebecca Rosenberg of ReBokeh Vision Technologies, Inc., a fellow Baltimore founder who’s innovating for people with low vision—and who’s also celebrating her birthday week! ?? More than anything, I’m looking forward to what comes next. Opportunities like these create real pathways for impact-driven founders at the intersection of tech, sustainability, and social change. Despite the challenges we face in today’s world, the people and organizations that matter most are pushing forward—sidestepping obstacles and doing the work that benefits us all. Here’s to progress, impact, and creating space for more of us at the table. Congratulations to every founder that presented and thank you to our incredible judges! Rockstar Presenters: Tyrell J. Last week, the 2025 Food Lion CIAA men’s and women’s basketball tournament took over CFG Bank Arena in downtown Baltimore, bringing together top athletes from HBCUs across the country for an unforgettable week of competition, culture, and community! The tournament also featured networking events, career expos, step shows, and fan experiences, making it one of the largest celebrations of Black excellence and collegiate sports in the country. This was the 5th time Baltimore has hosted the event - this year was especially memorable, as it marked the 50th anniversary of the women's tournament! ??: Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) #BaltimoreHomecoming #BMoreHome #Baltimore #CharmCity #CIAA #Basketball #Sports #HBCU #BlackExcellence
