At BCF, we are dedicated to supporting transformative initiatives that significantly enhance these aspects of health for students throughout #Baltimore City and County. We are proud to highlight recent BCF #grantees, whose impactful programs are making a difference in the lives of local youth: ?? AZIZA PE&CE provides arts, culture, and mentorship-based mental health support for young women and LGBTQ+ youth through a comprehensive after-school program that fosters social-emotional growth. ?? ROBERTAS HOUSE INC offers trauma-informed care and grief support, Roberta’s House works within schools to assist students who have experienced significant loss, equipping them with essential coping strategies and peer support. ?? Holistic Life Foundation Inc. teaches mindfulness practices to students through the Mindful Moment program, helping them manage emotions and stress in a dedicated Mindful Room setting. ?? #KTSFoundation provides after-school mental health support at Furley Elementary, offering therapy sessions and enrichment activities to assist students in navigating emotional challenges. We believe in the power of community support and collaboration to foster resilience and well-being among our youth. Impact Investing in Action: Teachers Square in East #Baltimore BCF is proud to support ReBUILD Metro, a nonprofit developer working with residents and community-led organizations to revitalize homes in East Baltimore, building inclusive, equitable and healthy communities. Last week, they unveiled Teachers Square in the Johnston Square neighborhood, turning two blocks of blighted row houses into #affordablehousing for teachers. With subsidized rents between $650 and $800, 15 teachers now live onsite in fully furnished, shared spaces, just steps away from their schools. Through BCF’s Impact Investments, we’re committed to projects like this that yield both financial returns and social benefits. Let’s talk about Maryland Latinos Unidos! MLU was founded in 2020 to organize and connect healthcare, education and public safety resources for Maryland Latinos. In 2023, driven by the untimely and violent death of a student, MLU secured a BCF grant that enabled them to pilot a mental health program at Patterson High School designed to break down the barriers faced by many Latinos in finding mental health care
