Earlier this week, BCF’s President & CEO, Shanaysha Sauls, joined community members and leaders like Congressman Johnny Olszewski Jr, County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, and many more to celebrate the grand opening of this much-needed recreation space in southeastern Baltimore County. BCF is proud to have contributed grant funding to help transform the former Bethlehem Steel site into a 22-acre hub for play, connection, and outdoor fun. ???? ?? Spring into #Community!?? Happy first day of spring! As we embrace the season of growth, we're highlighting the work of a recent BCF grantee, the Farm Alliance of Baltimore. With support from a $5,000 Stronger Neighborhoods Grant, they hosted the Black Butterfly Farm Community Day, uniting Curtis Bay neighbors through farming, fresh food, and community connection. Volunteers cleared fields, harvested 350lbs of fresh produce for the Maryland Food Bank, and took home 276lbs of vegetables, nourishing families and strengthening Baltimore’s local food system. Here's to a season of growth! #BCFGrantee
